A Daily Diary Study of Job Characteristics, Work Engagement & the Work-Life Interface Research team: Jozina Frost and Miles Browne-CooperSupervisor: Date: Results available Dec 2009 Description: Research has shown that different work characteristics can have an impact on various other aspects of workers lives. Previous studies have shown that increased skill and control over one’s work can have a positive influence on people’s work experiences and reduce the potentially negative effects of high work demands. We are interested to learn whether this interaction creates more positive work-life exchanges and also whether the relationship promotes workplace engagement and increases wellbeing on a day-to-day basis. |
