| RESEARCH:
My past research has looked at fatigue levels in shiftworkers, as well as looking at the psychometric screening for selection of public safety personnel. Because of my varied work history, I am interested in all aspects of work and well-being, as well as how Psychologists can make a difference in traditional HR functions such as recruitment and selection.
ACTIVITIES:
I worked in various human resource and training roles before entering into a counseling role with prisoners. I then decided to broaden my experience, and worked as an Employee Relations Advisor in the construction industry. My interests then led me to research the recruitment process for Prison Officers, specifically focusing on the psychometric screening stages. I was then actively involved in screening Prison Officers for over two years, and still continue to provide specialist consultancy services to the Department of Corrective Services. I have also provided psychometric screening for other public safety personnel, such as the Zoo, and in my role as an army reservist Psychology Officer.
TEACHING:
I am the unit coordinator for the first year Organisational Masters internal placement, as well as Work and Well-being and the Professional Practice and Organizational Consulting units.
