RESEARCH:
Cognitive functioning in the cerebral hemispheres, lexical priming
processes, reading, processing of Chinese characters, and creativity.
ACTIVITIES:
Dr Jeff Coney is primarily interested in research into aspects of cognitive
processing in the cerebral hemispheres of the brain. This has led to a
variety of projects related to hemispheric function, including word and
picture priming, reading English and Chinese words, and processes underlying
memory and creativity. He is also interested in more general cognitive
phenomena, such as reading.
